This tv will go back to standby about 2 minutes after first switching on.
It can be switched on again, but then only for a few seconds before it goes back to standby.
This cycle can be repeated.
No obvious capacitor faults.
Anyone had this fault before?

Update.

The fault turned out to be the fan assy. Full of muck & bearings tight.
It does not run initially, but starts up as the set gets warmer.

As an aside, the set came in without the back on. When I asked where the screws were, i was told
"me made had them, but he's thrown them away." !!!!  :stupid:
