Samsung LE32C450E1W
« on: May 16, 2012,05:20:52 »
Hi,
Thanks for having me onboard, anyways the problem I have is the above tv when switched on, the standby light flickers 6 times then nothing.
It seems to respond to the remote (led flashes) but still nothing.
I have replaced the psu though the original did not have bulging caps.
I have read about wiping the eeprom but I am not sure which on on the mainboard I need to do.
Any help welcome.
Thanks.

Hi,
Are you sure it's not just a backlight fault.

Have you got the 24V coming out of the power-supply to
the backlight PCB?

Have you any sound via a scart input?, you could also try connecting
a Scart from the set to another set to set if there's any picture.

EEPROM's normally get corrupted when there is noise on their
supply lines, as when the caps. in the power-supply bulge.

I would check for any o/c fuses on the inverter PCB first.

Regards

Hi,
Managed to get tv back to test findings are as follows:

25.1 volts coming out of the power supply to inverter board

One fuse on inverter board checks ok for continuity

No sound from scart input

no picture from scart on one set to another using scart

Hi,
Probably will need the main PCB.
You could try unplugging the lead to the function\infra-red board to see it this makes any difference
(had some peculiar effects with touch panels)
Good luck

Hi,
Thanks again for your input, I have already tried that no difference at all.
I may try another main board and see if that cures it....I hope thats the only problem it has.......
Thanks Again
