TECHNIKA LCD19DVID-108
« on: June 05, 2012,08:46:19 »
Hi all, first post although been on this excellent forum a while now.

Got the above LCD in which i can find very little info on . There seems to be lots of Technika's with similiar issues but not the -108 model.

Problem is the usual RED light flashing evry second & thats it, wont power up. I have checked the PSU , even changed the electrolytics & the 12 volt is absolutely stable under load. The PSU is model: LS1502057 & has the inverter buil in (just 2 backlights *& 1 TXFR). I'm certain the PSU itself is fine & i dont notice any ON pulse to the inverter so wondering if it's maybe corrupted firlware ?

Anyone come across this unit before or know of a circuit diagram anywhere ?

Thanks in advance

Graham

Short the pins 5 and 6 of the eeprom IC.When appliance starts then re-tune the set.If set then turns OFF and the LED starts to flash, then remove S/C and restart appliance.

Thanks Jordan, i will probably give that another go.

I have tried the pins 4 & 5 short circuit trick befofe (same as with Samsungs) but it did'nt make any difference just flash flash every second or so.

I tried the shorting pins 5& 6 trick (tried different timings etc) but absolutely no change.

I did a little test with the PSU, i powered it up & connected the inverter ON pin to +12v (via a ressistor) & the backlights do come on so i guess that would suggest the inverter itself is ok. strangely though i notice that although the PSU is rock solid on load, when off load it does 'tick' quietly. Put it on load & it stops ticking.

Are fimrware dumps available for this model Technika ? i do have some blank eeproms i could try burning one OR would replacing with a blank eeprom be f any use ?

Regards
Graham
