Right looking at the back of the tv set,to the right you have the power board,to the left you have another board with scart,hdmi etc and to the top of the unit you have a small board with ribbon connected to left board and to screen,this is the board with a 'blue' light which light up for a matter of seconds

Fair enough,this board (tcon) had got to be the problem though,having googled this set it seems to be a common fault,the board which powers everything seems to be working,as it was working well in my donor set,just seem strange this tcon board don't stay alight.
