Panasonic TH-42 PX60B. 7 flashes
« on: July 31, 2012,11:12:37 »
OK, I am still well out of my depth with LCD TVs, but now I have a (freebie) Plasma one to play with, and SWMBO thinks it would be great for her in the bedroom!
I have downloaded the manual, and am trying to find my way around, so far with little success.
When switched on, it goes to standby with solid red LED. Pressing  V-, (I have no remote), it flashes about 18 to 20 times very quickly, (whilst relays kick in, and fans start) then the fans stop, relays drop, and 7 slow flashes, which repeat after a few seconds.
The manual says something about "driver SOS2, SC floating voltage area", and in final column, SU,SD and SS board.
Apart from the fact I can not find SOS2, I can only look blankly at it and wonder if it should go to the scrap pile.
Any advice on this one?
OldLes.
