Samsung LE32N73BD - backlight switching on and off, no pic or sound

Got this set in to fix, the backlight turns on and off, but the TV never has a picture or sound.

Have eliminated PSU, inverter, and T-con. DVB suspected okay.

So that leaves the main board... Everything on it checks okay. Scoped the EEPROM and find it makes a flurry of reads or writes to it just before it shuts down, so I suspect something somewhere is corrupt and it is crashing.

If I jumper the crystal for SUB-MICOM the TV will crash and will show some noise on the LCD for a couple more seconds.

If anyone has a source for the main board, or some more things to test...
