Hi folks,

Have one of these where cust said internal Ni-cad pack wouldn't recharge. Suspected they were duff so made up a replacement using original pack fuse and temperature sensor.

Didn't charge, so dismantled and found in the recharge area a burn-up involving a SM transistor too cremated to read. Tried Plextor web sites - no help at all.

This is a great bit of gear for those visually impaired, playing MP3 CDs, remembers where you got to, but talks you to death in American when you press any button - unless batteries are flat - Any thoughts - Chris.

Cust thinks to keep the power plug in, as only alternative is a replacement - bit sad, in these 'Green' days - Chris
