Philps 26PF5520D/10 - no backlight

Hi Folks,

Have one of these where sound is OK, but backlight doesn't fire up with 24v on inverters, and inverter fuses OK

Inverters are KLS-EE26M and S - Master and slave.

Notice screen tubes are all in series.

Reluctant to spend on inverters, where tubes may well be at fault especially on such an old set, and my CCFL tester can't handle so many tubes in series.

Later - Reassembled set after noting all panels details, and it worked OK - odd one - Chris.

Any thoughts ?  - Chris.

done a lot of work on these sets and they suffer with poor earthing on the invertors. clean connections up and they work ok.

Guess you're right - after taking apart to check panels and re-assembling it worked perfectly - still does - Thanks - Chris.
