Toshiba 37WL66Es-Not turn on
Rufos:
Hello everyone
I have a problem I'm trying to solve for a long time.
I have this TV and it is not turning on.
I opened the TV and found a burnt switch(Chip STR-Z4569) located on the power supply, of course, I changed it with a new one and hoped it would solve the problem, unfortunately not.
I connect the tv to electricity, control light is on, pressing On, control light is on(Red), sound relay click, and nothing happens, the screen stays black.
Clicking on the button again nothing happens except a click from the relay.
i tried to look for blown capacitors or some other defective components and everything looks good.
hope that some one will be able to help
Thanks
fix2003:
only get wlt66s in my country try checking
D809 23357905 DIODE, ZENER, MTZJ36C
or
IC420 MP210SDJ Part 79104807. It is in the center metal pcb surrounded by metal screening can, under DVBT module in the center of TV. The part is very small SMD. It's location is looking at pcb to the top center to the right hand side underside (buy toshiba version not the sony version)
as you have changed STR-W6765 do you replace the 22MF/50V on supply rail for this ic and reflow all transformers
Rufos:
Hi
i changed the STR-Z4569 chip and the 450v 120mf ic( the capacitor was blown)
what is the correct way for checking Zener diods?
im adding hi rez close up of the STR-Z4569 area- if you can direct me to the component that i need to check it will be great.
i didnt reflowed the transformers - is it that necessary ?
i was also told to check the F3 fuse .
thanks
fix2003:
check / change the 2 green coloured capacitors near to the regulator you have changed
the transformers sometimes have poor joint this can be very hard to see so best to resolder all these joints
