Alba LCDW16HDF no HD

Have one of these where when HD selected only get blank screen. Worked ok for over 12mths no problem. input ok been tested on another set
I have put an amp in line of HD feed. was better but dropped out after 10 mins intermittantly. Feed works fine on another tv. no dropout,. Any ideas welcome. needed for security purposes.
