Philips 32PFL3517T no backlight

Philips **PFL3517T.

No backlight (logo flashes for a sec then backlight goes off).

Corrupt software, complete a software upgrade.

Shine light on screen to see if set is in virgin mode, if it is then follow these instructions, if not then just follow software upgrade instructions:

Press OK button 6 times, then press DOWN once, then OK again twice. This procedure gets the TV out of virgin mode and allows a software upgrade.

Now follow these instructions to upgrade the software:

Download the software from the Philips support website www.support.philip.com and load the autorun.upg file onto a USB memory stick.

Insert the memory stick into either USB socket on the TV and wait for 20 seconds.

Press the RIGHT button once, then press OK, then wait for 5 seconds.

Press the RIGHT button once, then press OK, and this time wait for 2 minutes.

Remove memory stick then press OK.

After a few seconds, TV should start up normally.

it sounds like a inverter fault check the fuse on panel for 24v
also the the transformes
