This Toshiba is a LCD/DVD combi. Switch on, offer it a DVD and it will play sound only. I don't have the remote right now, so can only play with the buttons on the set. One particular button press gives a brief display in the bottom RH corner which says "DVD playing" (or something like that). No sign of a proper picture whatever.
Internal examination, it looks perfect, no bulging caps, nothing blown apart, and all the pink resistors that suggest fusibles are reading OK.
Any suggestions? I have about three different "one for all" types of remote, any body suggest any numbers for the TV side and the DVD side?
