Hitachi 32LD8700TU does not work with remote

Hi,
   I have a Hitachi 32LD8700TU does not work with remote, but works fine from the front panel.
Also the remote works OK with another Hitachi TV.
Any idea's or a circuit diagram of the remote sensor circuit.

Would try a new sensor first the workings of the circuit won't be complex.

                    I shall have a closer look at the sensor, and m aybe work out the circuit from the PCB layout, and check the PCB actual has power to it. If all elso fails I will the get the part number off the PCB and order one.

                Could you please explain more what I need to do to set the menu to the correct setting?
Would a factory reset suffice? If not maybe you could list how I need to adjust the menu to take the TV out of hotel mode?
