Toshiba CRT TV Model 21S1ES- No picture

Dear All,

Recently got a Toshiba CRT 21" TV Model 21S1ES from junk yard. After plugged in power, I can hear full TV audio clear, can change channel and volume but no picture.  I opened the rear case and found no visual burn components.

Then I connected a DVD player to TV input, the DVD sound is clear but still TV screen no picture- just gray screen. The menu works perfectly.

This is my first attempt to repair a TV set and wish to use as learning experience. I have some soldering skill and the tools I have now is a digital multimeter and a capacitance meter.

Hope someone with technical experience and generous to guide me on step by step to diagnose and hopefully repair the set to full function. Thank you in advance.

Glad that you reply to my request. Sorry to say I have no experience in repairing TV and
located this forum thru google.

Had downloaded a copy but not sure how to check supply lines off the LOPT (is this the flyback transformer ?)
and check voltages in the video output stages. If possible, can you guide me on which pin location to test on the schematic. I have some soldering skills ,checking DC voltages using a digital multimeter and checking capacitor reading off board using a capacitance meter but do not have a scope to look at waveforms.
