Samsung ps42c450b destroys Xmain fets lj41-08591a type

Have one of these which destroys the x main fets after a few weeks.Is there a mod for this or is it the PDP panel itself? Any help appreciated.

yes i would go with duff screen

I've had 3 with this fault 2 450's and a 490 3d one screen every time.

Well, thats me got another one,does anyone know if samsung have a policy of replacing these screens because there does seem to be a reliability problem here?

hi fella's sorry to but in but i've got the  ps- 50A456p2d when it came in the fuse on the power supply board was blown, i replace it but blew again and tripped the mains, so i disconnected all the boards apart from the logic board which i forgot and blew again but blew some parts on the power supply board, would i be right in saying the screen has gone in this set  thanks for your time

Which fuse on psu, if mains fuse more likely a short on the primary side of psu.

I'd replace the fuse in the psu & plug just that. If it blows then Mr Clark would be right. Any idea how a screen can blow a mains fuse?

silly me, the reason i asked the question is i disconnected all the boards but for get to disconnected the logic board and the power supply blew the varistor, but i will try what you said thanks
