Possibly the upper buffer board. Try cleaning and reseating the flexi cables and connectors that go to the display panel.

Not sure if this is applicable, but this model was infamous for X-Main failure, so much so that Samsung put out a software upgrade for the Logic board, which did very little to halt the failure rate. They subsequently released a different X-Main which was supplied with a new Logic board.

Yours sounds like a Y scan fault, but it won't be the first time I was wrong. Check the X-Main for any burn marks.
