04TA0691 POWER BOARD

hi fella's i installed repair kit on this board 04TA0691, it's from a medion, i'm guessing the part number as i didn't write it down, i think it's md-30211, it's worked for 6 days and it went bang again, i did test tr20 which was ok, i think i should have changed the 2 smoothing caps. any help would be appreciated, thanks for your time

Hi Shaun,

This P/S is a real pain and best avoided. Several caps leak and drool down the board causing shorts here and there, esp in the S/by area where a couple of zeners and a few other bits go duff causing the mains fuse to pop.

Gave them up a while ago for sanity - fortunately have seen no new 'Profilo Telra' wonders recently.
