Alba LCD32880HDF Intermittent sound

I have an Alba LCD32880HDF that keeps losing sound after been on for a while.

Has anyone came across this issue before or know of a fix?

Try tracing back from the speaker connections until you find sound chip. When the sound goes off, try a quick spray with freezer. If that gets sound back, replace the chip.

Hi,

You could try a factory reset - Menu, 4, 7, 2, 5,

If the chassis is type 17MB60 or 17MB62
a common problem are the four SMD capacitors
C1075, C1076, C1077, C1078 (Pins 3 ,4 ,11 , 12 of the Audio Power Amp I.C.).
Change from 470nf to 1uf 6.3v (they are situated near to I.C. U168).

Hi, I also had this problem and after digging out turn out to be the sound ic. Check the caps before but I would consider changing the ic. (Not so expensive)
