Had this sony in today..it come on with Good sound and picture..after a few seconds.backlight gose off and relay clicks twice,then comes back on,then hose off again and relay flashes 9 times continuously...help please

Checking service manual indicates there is no code 9 for this model.....only lists 1 to 8. But if you can get it to come on in the diagnostic mode, a check of the error log may indicate the cause of failure.
From standby, press sequence , [5], [VOL -], [POWER].
