Sony KDL-S40A12U Wax Chassis Dead

Hi,

This set appears dead apart from 1 quick flash from both green & red LEDs at power up.
5v rail is OK. No respose to remote or buttons.
I have fitted PSU repair kit just in case, but still no better.
Any help appreciated as not to familier with Sony.

Check T-CON board

When checking T-CON board found insulation falling off the TCON cables at the connector. Suspect these cables have shorted & damaged BE board.

Replacing BE board & T-CON cable got the set working.  But this morning it has come back with the same fault. LED flashes then goes off. Will try another BE board!
