     This pink TV was working fine when suddenly it developed overcasting colours for few days & it now the picture comes on for few seconds and screen goes black. Could it be the inverter or the main board? Your help will be appreciated. Regards

Do the backlights remain on when the fault occurs? I realise you are a new poster but your question is rather vague, if you can verify this I can aid you further with your issue with your tv.

Thanks for your reply. The back light comes on for a few seconds and then goes off. Sound stays on.

Back light problem sorted. A dry joint on the inverter transformer was causing the back light to disappear after few seconds after switch on. The colours on the picture are gone into green patches as in the pictures below.
