the part that is broken cost 10$ at most,if not less
a tech dude here want 350$+ just to look at it.
those TV,plasma or LCD should have a built in cooling fan like a laptop, they produce too much heat
and I think once you past 41°+ Celsius reading coming from the top exhaust hole behind the screen, this where
where and why those TV dont last long.
brand new LCD from Samsung,on day 1 show reading of 38°C, so add dust with time and/or worst;smoke from
cigarette and in no time this 38°C will skyrocket way above 41° ,and the warranty say;this TV can only be use
below 40°C.

that does sound a bit much m8, just thinking it's quick an easier for you, as i'm not sure what your experience you have looking inside a tv,and what test equipment you have, don't want you poking stuff in and getting a shocked and end up brown bread, you have come to the right place there's some fantastic techs on here. thanks
shaun

Hi Shaun,
Well said -
'Fantastic' is pushing the boat out a bit - Most of my customers say 'cheap, moderately fast and ever cheerful'
Well - I need the cash for extended retirement and eschew extensive theorising so go for cheap replacement panels from 'The Flea'
Guess 'Bruce' will have his 'Downunder' thoughts, chasing faults down to each individual dubious component.
Off to 'Flea Bay' - Chris.
