Whimsical, you say, Chris. Guess with the declining volume of work and the declining bank balance, one does tend to get whimsical. Fortunately, I'm at that age where the government gives one a pension to be a slacker, so any dosh I do make is pocket money.....after the landlord rips me off for his share and the government recovers the pension in taxes. Good to be philosophical about it.

So, younger Turnip was gadding about sowing his wild oats. Reading tween the lines, you married said nifty gal. I trust you didn't lose your manhood on said home-made tandem. Would explain your bow bowlegs. There I go again.

Turnip:
Hi Bruce,

Nifty - admit I punted a seriously cool gal down the Cam - as one does.

Gather she was a Christian.

Gather Christians are liable to nifty sex that precludes worship, as they can't bother get out of bed to try sort Jesus.

While ago, haven't checked since, but suspect Jesus now rules again - Chris

No wonder one becomes whimsical.......forget the nifty gals, there are some nifty turnip wine recipes on google.

Turnip:
Hi Bruce,

You're probably right, as but memory rules, at least with me, some pretty good times 'till I fell off the punt as couldn't get the pole out of the mud - Chris.

PS - Suspect reply could be suspected sexist, but I was just an innocent young punter at the time, with my pole stuck, and a Jesus freak near freaking.

Happens in 'Cambridge-England' - most all the time, and gives rise to notable folks.

Natch not me, as am a bit Socialist and not notably gay.

Notice gals can now become bishops in the UK, and 'Thought for Today' might soon included Humanists, as Gods seem a bit doubtful, as there so many to try sort for reasonable folks who have some nounce and feel neuvo astrology crap is at the very least, a bit dubious.

The 80's were terrific, and the home made tandem didn't collapse 'till the next one was sorted for the next gals of the 90's - Chris.

Well tie me up and tie me down! Heard on radio about female bishops. Seems that UK conservatives are a tad recalcitrant. We convicts in the antipodes have had them for years.

Very philosophical reply though, Chris.
