Had one of these in where the set locked up on DVB after half an hour, and set would only respond to S/by on the RCU. Noticed also that signal strength was indicated zero even with a good (for that crap set) picture.
Noticed panels cheap on the Flea so ordered a main as that's where the tuner is. Naturally on replacement, set behaved just the same, so I tore out the defunct dvd and logic as thought could be throwing duff things out. Same, of course.
Then noticed a little panel with a socket on the top - can't be that, I thought so tore it out. Set then said 'no dvb' - Realisation dawned, and I checked the underside and discovered a dvb decoder - Back to Fleabay where three panels are the same price as one.
Guess don't get to be a Quuq Super Hero unless daft most times - Chris.
Later - Three panels more from the Flea - Panel DVB B.ZRDT5B- 7433 didn't work at all, as couldn't get into menu with RCU, as could with original, but with issues - continuing problem.
Great Flea firm supplied another bundle of three panels, where DVB panel worked. but suspect set is total crap.
Replaced the DVB panel again and problem remains where set locks up after 15 minutes. Initially signal is displayed as zero per cent, rising to 90 per cent plus after a few minutes. Guess set is dubious.
Had another later UMC in today - Mains rocker switch duff, graphics OK but picture was terrible.
Suspect UMC sets can be dubious, even total Crap - Chris.
