Humax LU26-TD1 - DVB issues

Hi folks,

Continuing tale - After power board sorted with those glue covered resistors replaced.

Inverters then failed - Cheap on the Flea - OK.

Picture flickers, only when cold and with any input, even HDMI so guess the main board is duff. Still flickers after DVB board changed, and heating/cooling everything has no effect.

Thought DVB board might also be duff, so got another from the Flea which won't store after a scan, telling me there are 4 too many channels, whereas the original board stores, then indicates 'no signal' on several channels.

Guess it's an update issue - any thoughts how to do it ? - Thanks - Chris.

Change C-261 and C-262 (all 10uF/25V) on main board above the Micronas chip

Hi Jordan,

Thanks again - Your caps sorted the flickering biz.

Just need to update DVB software, as have two DVB boards with different stage software.

Note set has a RS232 socket but the web has no updates about apart from a couple of sites that try download rubbish where adverts then pop up most everywhere, but no actual software info.

Guess as a 2006 set should be surprised it picks up anything  - Chris.
