If the tv is not receiving DTV channels, your problem is more likely to be the DTV module, which piggy-backs on top of the main board. If you feel it's definitely the main, you should be able to change the screen size in the service mode under Options. The notable difference between the main boards is that the 26 has
S-Video/Composite sockets on the main, while the 32 has them mounted on a separate pcb on the side of the cabinet, so you'd lose this input on the 32 main. However, this may be surplus to requirements. If you can't change screen size, you'll end up with solarization of the picture.
