Hi Guys, the board the main board thats in the tv is a 17pw82-2 . Ordered a power supply but still the same . Ordered a main board so will let you know what happens

Keith:
When you get your replacement board, after confirming it all works, it is very beneficial to read and save the contents of the spi flash if you have the equipment to do this, always remove the flash IC to read to be sure of good data!

Saving these data files can help in the future.

Hi Keith,

Recall a chap suggesting we should collect data via USB socket with the MB60 series. Tried it on later models where seems the method is different, as chap admitted.

Clue us if you can do it via USB, otherwise it's a bit messy.

Must admit most Vestel Eeproms can be read on the board if you jiggle the clip a bit - Chris.

Keith:
Hi Chris,

It's the SPI Flash 25XX devices data, as these contain the boot loader data. And even though you can sometimes read / write in circuit, it is always best to obtain a good usable dump with device removed, you then know your data is 100% correct.

the USB dump method will produce several files, but these can only be used if the will start and will not correct a corrupt boot loader. So if you have a programmer it is a good idea to copy the data from the 25xx chip, and I usually copy the 24xx chip if used, as newer sets don't always have them, the 24xx generally have user data stored in them, channels and picture setting etc.

Keith
