SONY TV will not change the VOL or CH

I have a SONY TV Model KDL40R350B that will not change the volume or the
channels by remote and you cannot change it in the TV ether.

I do not know what the problem is.

A few miniatures before you could change them both.
I unplugged the TV thought that that would work and plugged it back in still nothing changed.
I only had the TV since July of 2014.

Should not this TV be covered by manufacturer's warranty? 12 months, is it not?

tv locked, so you should try to upgrade the software at the last version,but first you should unlock it trying to access the service menu(display-5-vol+-power);you will not succeed the first time but you have to repeat
again and again until the set reacts and enters the service menu.Have a good time.
