Hi,
Sony LCD TV, Mo No KLV-40BX420, Chassis No AZ2 with MT5366 as Micon. This TV is dead,no function ie no sound & picture, no panel LED indication. Appears totally dead. Stand by 3.3V is OK from power board. Any solution other than replacing entire mother/main board?

Along with stand by 3.3V, AC OFF DKT voltage @ 2.8V is required to trigger MT5366 into action. I found out this after long thought & checking the circuit. In this case this 2.8V was absent & power supply was the culprit to my surprise. I was expecting MT5366 or associated could be faulty.Later I repaired power supply & set is working OK now.
