Well, I tried filling all locations, but it would not store anything new after that.
Eventually found that pressing by pressing "Clear" followed quickly by "Set" deletes the selected channel, and moves all higher numbers down one place. By repeating this 30 times, ALL programme numbers were "emptied". I then simply tuned in the channels I wanted in the order I wanted.
In fact the "change channel spacing" capability does NOT exist on this particular version (presumably a UK only set".
Since the current speakers have stopped the motor boating, I will just forget it ever occurred!
