Dim back light, sometimes all setting drops to minimum can be cured by finger tapping!!!!! Obviously this resulted in a very dim picture.... oddly the whites provided a clue they weren't dis-coloured or tinted as a last resort I tried a reset.
A full reset cured this set, in standby mode, press the following buttons in sequence-:
Info, Menu, Mute, Power.....
you will be rewarded with plenty of options, better to shy away from. The reset option was at the very top marked in red 'RESET' so may pay dividends not to go pulling the back lights. The set will require a retune of the digital channels and a tweak in the user settings for sound and picture.
