Technics SU-Z55 Amplifier - No output.

Hi Folks,

Got one in where display works but no sound output on either channel with supply voltages to the STK2038 seeming normal and nothing fused or burned out. Note there's a protection chip AN7072 but can't quite see what it does.
Wonder if it's a common problem ? - Attach schematic - Chris

Was surprised as both channels were duff, but guess protection chip AN7072 has sorted it, somehow.

Note that although schematic is available, the actual service manual now costs, and Panasonic don't seem care to support - Chris.

Think my schematic better than yours.

Note the entire service manual is unobtainable without much cash spent.

STK2038 now expensive - £20 a pop at the cheapest.

Think have words with customer, gather it was his Dad's, and he's just dug it out of the loft.
