Samsung ps50q96

call me al:
Hi all Have this samsung 50" model PS50Q96 Fault no picture vs and va are ok all fuses are ok have checked for shorts on fets and found none,buffer boards look ok is there any way to check buffers to make sure  any help much appreciated

Hi Al,

Is the LED on the logic (control) board flashing? Have you tried running test patterns using the pins on the logic board.

Hi Bruce Thanks for reply the light on logic board is on not flashing

SORRY BRUCE ONE OF THE LEDs on logic board is flashing its beside chip u2003 pin 18

Hi Al,

Disconnect one buffer at a time and see if you get light in the converse half of the screen. If top buffer is kaput, check the screen carefully in sunlight for tiny dark spots. If you find any, I'd be very suspicious od the panel.

re the logic LEDs. I believe one should have a steady constant glow, and one should be blinking, one second on, one second off.   Bruce
