Title: Panasonic TX-32LZD80
Post by: Turnip on March 09, 2022,09:59:58
Hi folks,
Have one where the s/by doesn't fire up, and I've checked all the usual diodes and caps. Thought sort the easy way
so another P/S from Ebay - S/by fired up, but the set didn't turn on. Next thought was the SSB so got one, and the
set still didn't turn on. That only seems to leave the inverter panel, and as they go for five pounds a pop, guess
unlikely - Any thoughts ? - Thanks - Chris.

Hi Chris,
That's an oldie. Have foggy memories (but then all my memories are foggy) of T-con being problematic - had to write the tv off.              Bruce

Thanks Bruce,

Wouldn't have bothered, but spent a pound on a set I would have binned,
but the customer loved it, as a Panasonic and stuff, using CCFL's which last
far longer than diodes.
Guess not get emotional about Tv's, as liable get folks with valve audio from
the 50's - Just got a couple of 'PYE' Black boxes to sort, Note that China
now does replacement ceramic cartridges for pence, but admit I'm bored with
valves, as have been plugging them since the 50's, and PYE Black Boxes were
rubbish, as sorted on the cheap.
PS - Got various schematics, as Pye did it on the cheap, using dubious valves
proved crap otherwise.
Thanks again - Chris.
