Hi.Check the fuse on the ZSUS panel,Try disconnecting the panel and see if you get the set to come out of the standby mode. This panel is becoming a common problem on that model.

Just to a word of warning with these ,after replacing the z sus you may find that it will destroy itself again, this is caused by the control board, check that the z sustain heatsink is running cool,if its not then you have problems...sorry :c023:

Hi, My LG 50ps3000 also went on the blink (when you turn it on it briefly shows a white screen, then goes back into standby). I tried turning it off at the wall briefly then back on, and the fault remained (by the way it's only 18 months old). I rang Dixons who said they would want £50 to look at it plus whatever it cost for them to repair it (you give them a figure, and if it can be repaired for that they do it otherwise they ring back with a price and you either pay it or not and have the TV back). While on the phone he said try turing it on and going into the menu to re-set it to factory default. I tried this and surprisingly it didn't go into standby mode. I re-set it to factory settings, it searched for TV channels and it now works fine!
I don't think it was his advice that helped, more the fact that I left it totally switched off for 24hrs...
One other thing, as soon as I mentioned to him that under the Sale of Goods Act, you might reasonably expect a TV to last more than 18 months, he gave me another phone number to call (if the TV didn't work).
That Number is 0844 5611234 - option 3, then option 3 again. I hope this helps. Regards, PTFE15
