for that price I would rather buy a new panel ...

by the way..today I manage to revive my plasma panel...after trying with different combination of button pressing, finally the LED turned from blinking orange to steady orange (by pressing sub power and down button simultaneuosly if I am not mistaken..) then I connect my laptop to it and change the input setting...wallaaa...the panel is alive again..

thanks

right...
after reading the service manual, there is a guide on how to get into the service mode by pressing a combination of button..so I guessed that there must be a way to get into other mode on the panel..

then, I turn on the panel...(as usual the LED turn from red straight into blinking orange after few seconds).

after several tries, by pressing sub power button and down button simultaneously for a few seconds, the blinking orange LED turned to a steady orange ( I heard a clicking sound from inside the panel.. a relay I guessed)

I pressed the sub power button once more and the status LED turned to green and I know that the panel is working again..the rest are just a matter of connecting an input to the panel and everything is working normally until today..

thank

Hi there,
Just wanted to add that i had a simillar symptom with my old hitachi 42PD4200 panel, this happened while i was trying different resolution settings on tv set while using a laptop input source, while the resolution is too high for the set, it would click and revert to (amber)
led situation then ultimately (red).
just switched set off from mains then altered resolution back to a lower figure, all was well again.
Hope this is of some help to someone.
