evening fella's i've had this samsung le40b551a6w in standby light flashing no start up, disconnected the buttons thinking this was the cause, but still the same, if i disconnect the tcon it stays on i have replaced the tcon but still the same fault, the power board is a bn44-00264a , head scratching at the minute any thought would be great, thanks for your time

common faults are diodes short in the power supply. any of the large diodes.
dry joints on stby ic and bridge

have replaced DP801,from 1N5406 ( 600V,3A rectifier type diode ),to a 31GF6,which is rated the same,but is a fast switching type.

this is a SAMSUNG recommended mod for reliability.apparently diode can fail int,or under load causing backlight issues & low PFC volts.
