Hi folks,
Have one of these where analogue is OK but no digital channels found on initial search. Checked system update where it confirmed DVB version was current at 1.16
Curious - any thoughts - Chris.

Hi Chris,
Ive had this fault before and it is usually C4056 680uf Capacitor, you will probably see a slight doming at the top of the capacitor.
Kind regards
Brian

Thanks Brian,
Found that C4056 was 470/16, changed it but no improvement. Thought to highlight it in case I've picked the wrong cap.
Incidentally checked all the PS caps - all OK.
Thanks again - Chris.

Hi Chris,
Ive just checked and it looks like i had written down the wrong circuit ref in my little book! Sorry!

Hi Brian,
You will soon doubtless be a 'HERO' like what I is, but in my case it's pure ignorance - under rated these days. Would quote from 'The Importance' but decent repair reality might be lost in a search for Oscar, and those Cucumber sandwiches.
One needs to have been there, in the days of EY51's, and railways that ran.
Getting to the point, eventually, cap you suggested was bulgy, and replaced by 1000/16, and on set up FTV channels were discovered.
Would post a glass, but I brew my own - gives Tories wind, but little future tax possibilities.
Many thanks, bit leftish, but proud like that chap with his awful big 70's fuses.
Chris, will check out surplus Wickman's - bit like doodlebug spares at Proops.

:08: Just fixed one of these thanks to this tip.

Hi Trev,
Truly 'Brainstorm' is a real hero, but not met recently on Quuq.
Like you, raising the glass, Quuq needs such a genuine hero, esp. as he can be quite whimsical at times - Chris.
