Title: Ferguson FTVD421/521
Post by: Turnip on September 03, 2010,12:10:57
Hi Folks,

Had a couple in today, first was the 521 with excessive field height caused by C417(33/10) C414(100/35) and C408(10/50) High ESR (Field chip gets rather hot and they were in heatsink area)

Second, the 421. Was fun as when cass was ejected, was instantly grabbed again for re-play. Took set apart and no problem, After a while, after checking mechanicals thought that stray workshop light might on exit side sensor make the difference so cleaned all the plastic optical bits and all was well on reassembly. Bit like Philips T/videos using Funai decks where dust in the idler area causes revert to S/by.

Made a pound - Chris.

PS - These are Orion, so resoldered L/drive TX's as you do.

Hi C/W,

This is ancient history - tube telly stuff - bit like 'Boldly Going' with those colourful tops.

Now have the call - usually a morning jobby - Chris.
