Hi guys ,This is a nearly new combi ,it has no hard drive so its just a simple combi . Problem is that it just flashes "please wait " and does nothing else . Have held the channels + and - buttons down but still doesnt fix . Dont know if its a fault or just a reset it needs . Only happened after the clocks went back . Any clues ? Thanks

"Please wait" or "EXT-L" displayed
1.Press EXT-L button on RC
2.Unplug then plug-in appliance

Hi Ken,
Typically caused by bulged capacitors in the power supply and directly under the DVD loader which you'll have to remove along with the digital pcb under the loader. CH+/- is not the reset method and I've never known an occasion where a reset cures this fault.

Hi gents ,tried your solution Jordan but the only button on the remote says EXT- LINK and I tried it a few times with no luck. All the caps were OK as well Downunder so afraid its a goner . Thanks anyway

Hi,if there is a button AV on the remote, try that one, assumed the remote and the ir receiver are OK.

Hi Kennyc,
Not now useful, but had one where an error code popped up - U80.
Did a factory reset and problem cleared - Guess not the same as 'Please Wait' but a thought - Chris.
