Title: Broken Cap on PCB board
Post by: billthesage on February 26, 2014,08:05:42
Hi Guys I have an 11ak45b5 sharp with a disintegrated disc ceramic cap connected from scart 2 pin 20 to ground. Its a sharp 28lf92h model and according to manual its a 150 pf but lots of values on manual are incorrect on chassis fitted to this set. It also has a samsung tube fitted which isnt on manual either.
I need to know the correct value of cap as broken one is unreadable  :c017:

Bill.

Update fitted 150pf cap according to manual but still have a picture fault. Original fault was R613 burned out and C 623 next to it melted. Replaced both and also eprom now have line tearing and set cutting out intermittently. It could also be described as cogging on verticals. Has anybody come across this before and cured it.

Best Regards
Bill

R-613 (47R or 33R)
C-623 (820nF)
Check Q-602 (BU2508),Q-600(BUK444-on EW sector) and diode D-611 and D-625

Hi Jordan

Fault found turned out to be a loose clip on final anode cap. I found it by listening carefully for slight hissing sound.Spreading clip and refitting cap cured fault. Thanks for your input hope I can help you sometime.

Kind Regards
Bill
