Hi folks,
Have one in that cuts to s/by after a second or two - any thoughts ? - Chris.

Does it have a fan with 3 wires? If so this is usually faulty.

Hi Chris,
Commonly caused by the main regulator IC7501 (STRX6768), but before you change it, first replace C7526,
a 10uf 50V tucked in under the regulator heatsink. If the cap fixes it, no need to change the STRX. Only other thing I've had was a shorted standby 5V rectifier diode.
I learnt the hard way.....replace the cap first.
Happy home theatre, Bruce

Hi folks and thanks,
Replaced caps as suggested - couldn't find C5730(1mfd) and C7526(10/50) was C5724(22/50) on my power board. Caps C7011 and C7012(330/6.3) and C7003(820/16) were obviously bulgy.
Thought take a pic so could get all those flexies back in the right places, outlined the duff caps in Black.
Working fine - Thanks all - Chris.
7/3/16 - Back again for no go. C706(1200/6.3) blown top & on/off button broken.

Nice picky, Chris.
So these caps were on the Main Board? Well, you live and learn, (then you forget).
