Hi folks,
Have one of these where on pressing on/off button the machine cuts back to standby.
Any thoughts ? - Thanks - Chris.

Haven't got a curlew, Chris, but just for the halibut, I've uploaded the service manual.

Check or replace Q-702 (2SC3052=BC847) also check R-128,R-129,R-130,R-131 (all 220R)

Many thanks - Bruce and Jordan,
Checked out Jordan's thoughts - All OK this time. Thought then to pull out the flexi main board to CD board and it fired up.
Naturally thought 'Spin Motor' - It was S/C, but sadly the drive chip BA5947FM was also S/C.
BA5947FM isn't cheap, as guess no-one bothers replace them. Have boards with BA5947FP and suspect it might be much the same, but panels using it have three chips not two for some reason.
Have specs for both chips - Appear identical - Will see - Chris.

You must change IC-BA5947FP on CD section

Thanks Jordan,
Hope the 'FP' is much the same as the 'FM' - Will give it a go - Chris.
