Title: Vestel 11AK36
Post by: Turnip on October 10, 2009,06:11:30
Hello folks,

Have one of the above needed as a monitor using Scart where set comes on when mains is applied. Currently set comes on in S/by and needs a prod on ch+ or Ch- to bring it on.
Wonder if any Service menu options might do this - have a list, but no idea as to what does what.

    In hopes - Chris.

Hello folks,

   And thanks for the interest.

KGM - do you have list of options 1/2 and 3 ? - tried the Hotel option mentioned - no help in this instance.

Tommo 45, thanks and what's the option you suggest ?

   Thanks again - Chris.

Hi and thanks KGM,

Think I might be missing something, in that when Hotel mode bit is flipped, Hotel mode appears not to function and tuning is still available. Perhaps there is another step ?

 Thanks - Chris.

no way around it

Hi Folks,

My eventual way around the problem was a small panel from RS giving a delayed pulse to the ch+ or - button, takes a couple of seconds after mains applied to bring set out of standby. - Chris.

Hi Sparky,

Must confess that my 'Tim Hunkin' mod (check him out - He's well worth it) gave me the answer.

I'm well impressed by our Tim, as ever (it's all now really cool, but technicians are still mostly unemployed)

So - Turnip harvesting is with us now - Great -  Chris.

PS -  just joshing, as those new Tories now are well akimbo, probably next 'door' - or in ghastly modern Barn Conversions - we Just love them with all their pukey horse compost and death ensuring 4 x 4's

Still just Cool - Chris - with shovel, for the compost.

Keep up the good work.
