Hi.
I have managed to revive my Toshiba (Vestel) 24W1433DB using a (v2.1.9z) mb90_en.bin for 32W1333DB from the badcaps.net forum - this installed successfully only now the screen output is upside down. The picture quality is perfect but upside down. :dubbio:
I'm guessing that the 32W1333DB firmware is close but not spot on, conversely the 24W1433DB seems quite rare. Where are we supposed to get these firmware files?

Hi
It looks like the firmware is available, but you may need to be trade to get it.
So you might have to take the set to a local repairer who is registered as trade.

Is that really the deal? I'd be more tempted to report Toshiba to Trading Standards for profiting on the back of these defective TV's!

I'd love to be able to find that option on the Service (4725) menu. Can you point me to where it is exactly?
