Got this set in with no LED backlights working. I stripped it down and replaced the faulty strings. Each one now lights up but when I boxed it back up there are still no backlights, sound ok and pic visible with torch. Replaced both boards on offchance but no difference. Theres a fuse on LED board but thats okay. So Im left with the panel the strings go onto or the display panel itself..any ideas welcome.
Oh and when I changed the power board the old one still had 350v across the 3 smoothing caps 30 mins later..you can guess how I found that out

inside the screen where the string of backlights are joined in the middle by a plug and socket I have had these go high resistance so had to link across them with wire with power off measure across and see what resistance you get
sadly it the screen apart to confirm :c023:

The strings were lighting so the links were okay..but I checked the end links going to the board and although they seemed fine with no marks, I decided to bridge them all on spec. HOORAY. This cleared the problem and the LEDs lit up.
