This LED has no video, backlights & sound okay. Fuse on Tcon board is okay. I can buy replacement Tcon on the bay for about £15. Is it worth a try? I dont like buying boards on spec but its cheap.

Are you getting DC volts (usually 12V) to the fuse? If the set has an AV Out terminal (all too rare these days) you could see if a monitor gives you a normal picture. Would tend to let the main board off the hook.

Yes 12v to the fuse. I tried scart to scart but couldnt get anything on other screen. Guess it will lie about till I can find boards. :c017:

Update..its not the Tcon board as I got a cheap one from Ebay :33:

Hi ,sounds like you are going to have to strip the screen down and check the LED strips . Have had a couple myself and eventually took the plunge and stripped one down to check them and a strip was faulty. Had another scrap TV and took a strip out of another one and it fixed the fault. It was a 40L1333B but think they will probably be similar

But the backlights are on. Even if one strip was out surely Id still get menu up. Theres just a white screen.

Sorry, read your blog wrongly . Thought it said no video or backlights but sound . My mistake

Fixed it. Power board was faulty, checked original Tcon and that was duff as well.
