Title: Sharp LC-32DH77E slow start up.
Post by: bonesy on May 11, 2016,04:57:45
Hi folks, has anyone got a copy of a sharp service tip on this model set.Apparently there's a 56nf cap you change for going leaky,in the 3.3 volt ssb power supply, voltage is low around 2.5 volts, but after short time hits 3.3 volts & set starts up normally. I've seen CHS do the cap,but nothing to suggest a fitting guide. If you've got the tip or know location for cap I would be grateful.Sharp do not mark the location of resistors or caps on this board.

Slow start up
-Replace IC-9610 (LV5805M) and C-9668 (6.8nF/50V) use 68nF/50V on main board
-Pin 3 of IC-9610 is low (2,4V instead of 3.3V) replace L-9607 on main board
-Low supply (2,4V instead of 3,3V)at pin 3 of IC-9610(LV5805M) on MB
  IC9610 replaced but fault persists-Add a capacitor 68nF/50V betwen pins 4 and 8 of IC9610 on MB

thanks for that lads,I've got the cap on order from CHS,should be here next couple of days,I'll let you know how I get on.I had a feeling it might be on the back of the board, but wasn't sure.

Well, this is odd.My capacitor came in yesterday,I fitted it in correct location, switched on,hoping for cure, but no!It's a partial cure because my 3.3 volts is now constant, right from power on.If I leave the set to its own devises, you here a relay on power board click once or twice, the back lights flicker a couple of times, then the picture comes on.All this time the green light remains lit.Once picture comes on set then runs for may be five minutes or so,then off to red st-by light. If restarted same thing, green light, slow to come on,flickering back lights, then on.If you look in service mode no errors for backlights at all, plus after a few attempts the set would surely lock you out.Today,I switched her on,picture on after around 15-20 seconds & has run perfectly o.k. so far.I do think
the sets got more than one issue,as I say I now get 3.3 volts all the time.Any Ideas guy's.

Why not put it into service mode and carry out the "Industry Initialisation" (factory reset) ?

Funny you should say that, but since I went into service mode, although I could'nt see any errors,I did a reset & it's worked fine ever since.Fingers crossed,I'll let you know.
