Hi folks, just wondering if anyone's seen one of these LG TV's?My fault is very odd,my gut feeling is a duff screen, but just not sure.Set comes on full picture, but almost like a 405 line picture, for those of you old enough to remember, very liney, plus background screen retention of previous image, also this is oddest part picture pauses every now & then, just for a couple of seconds. This set has no T-con board,I think it's built into signal board,as screen connector p.c.b's have minimal components on them. There's no sign any where of liquid damage to screen,I've had a very good look,I suppose it could be the ssb board,if anyone's had this please let me know.

Hi bonesy,
As this is a 3D TV, it may be set to "Auto 3D simulation on Start-up" and a bit reluctant to switch to normal. This gives a blurry picture
with horizontal shift every alternate line......like 405 lines perhaps, although I've not had the pleasure of this.
I'd try a factory reset but you may need the LG Service Remote for this. Also check for any upgrades.
Currently have a 55LW6500 doing similar. Image of the apps screen stays in the background of the picture which is blurry. I've opted for a main board. Bruce

Hi Bruce, did you ever get to the bottom of this fault?

Hi Bonesy,
After acquiring 4 or 5 second hand main boards from various technicians (new one was NLA), they all turned out to be duff....only the original would start the tv. Phoned the customer and told him we were flogging a dead horse. He agreed and said to keep it for parts. Needless to say his next tv won't be an LG. Bruce
