Title: Sony KDL-19BX200 - No go.
Post by: Turnip on November 02, 2016,11:14:16
Hi folks,

Have one in where there's 300v on the main cap and chopper chip, and the secondary Schottkys are OK.
Suspect it's the chip itself - Marked 1A30AE / CMO465R - A SMD device - Can't find one anywhere - Got the manual, but being a Turkish set, there's nothing useful in it.

Wonder if anyone has any idea ?  - Thanks - Chris.

Hi Vince and thanks,

Realised I'd misread chip as CMO rather than CM0, so downloaded spec and noticed it needs a start up voltage on Vcc, provided in the set by R2086(470k) and R2032(330k) - The 470k was O/C.

Should maybe have realised as the main cap was still at 300v the next day, but it didn't bite me.

Checked Ebay, and glad I didn't need the chip as SMD version seems unavailable, maybe because it doesn't go wrong - Thanks again - Chris.
